we are ke comms
a mission-driven public relations + writing agency
Working with purposeful brands, organizations and causes, ke comms seeks out impactful stories to amplify through media relations, social media and graphic design tactics.
our values
do-good and act ethically
At ke comms, doing good is embedded in everything we do. Working with mission-driven organizations and causes means everything we do is to create a more just, inclusive and sustainable world. We do this work in an ethical manner, which means we use tools that help productivity but we don’t cut corners. We read the fine print. We work hard and take time to enjoy the ride.
be purposeful
Driving our work is our core belief that we can make a difference through communications. We achieve this through various tactics but each has one tenet in mind: Find the purpose and let it be our guide.
appreciate flexibility
We believe in life-work balance, tailoring work to fit our lives. Whether it’s spending a Friday afternoon walking six miles, caregiving for a loved one or taking time to lay on the couch to finish a good book, we value the time away from work doing things we enjoy and need to do to keep our lives running smoothly. This allows us to be more invigorated and intentional when we are supporting clients.

With 20 years of experience in journalism before transitioning to public relations, ke comms' founder, Kristi Eaton, has a keen eye for what makes a story newsworthy.
In 2017, Kristi received a grant from the International Reporting Project to report and write about menstruation and child marriage in India. A year later, she was selected to be a writer-in-residence for Fistula Foundation, traveling around Zambia documenting women’s stories about their experiences with fistula. She has also received grants to travel to a refugee camp along the Ethiopia-Somalia border to write about intimate partner violence as well as to Iceland to cover women’s rights. Her journalism work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The Associated Press, Reuters, The Guardian, Ms. Magazine and numerous other print and digital outlets.
As a public relations professional, she focuses on social good causes, raising awareness about under-resourced communities and movements.
