The Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum
In the summer of 2022, the Sapulpa, Oklahoma-based Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum started offering rides in a vintage Packard car to a nearby lake as part of a summer promotion. The museum asked ke comms’ founder Kristi to create a press release and conduct media relations to garner press, which would lead to greater visibility and increase the number of paying customers for the car rides. Kristi was able to place stories in all the local TV stations and print/digital media. Ultimately, the rides were widely successful. The museum brought back the rides with a second car during the summers of 2023 and 2024.
"Kristi has been a huge asset to the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum. She's a pleasure to work with, and we are so appreciative of the coverage she has earned for the museum, which has helped us continue our programming activities and sustain admission levels. We are thrilled with the work she has done for us. Kristi and her company, ke comms, are worth every penny."
- Lina Holmes, executive director of the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum

Black Towns Revival Weekend
In November 2023, ke comms was selected to act as the public relations agency for the first-ever Black Towns Revival Weekend, a gathering of philanthropy, scholars, media and everyday folks to visit historic all-Black towns in Oklahoma during a four-day weekend. At one time, Oklahoma had the most historic all-Black towns. Now, there are 13. ke comms worked both locally and nationally to drive press coverage. The local push included an in-studio interview with the event organizer at the state’s largest broadcast outlet as well as stories in the local newspaper, the Tulsa World, the local NPR affiliate and other broadcast media.
On the national front, ke comms was able to get NPR to report a story about the revitalization of historic all-Black towns in Oklahoma. ke comms also was able to place a story with Scripps News. NPR and Scripps News have a combined reach of 29 million unique visitors per month to their websites. That’s not counting the millions more who saw or watched the segments on the radio or on television.

Collab Trip with @RaviRoundTheWorld
While at Tulsa Regional Tourism, ke comms consulting partner Lauren developed the experience for LGBTQ+ influencer RaviRoundtheWorld using in-kind donations from partners including Route 66 businesses like Mother Road Market and Hotel Indigo in Tulsa.
The trip was designed to tackle a stereotype cited by potential Tulsa visitors and event hosts that Tulsa was an unfriendly city for LGBTQ+ travelers. Ravi’s visit took place in April 2021 and was highlighted by Ravi in reels and stories in months and even years following the trip. As part of the visit, all partners involved with the trip were allowed to use Ravi’s photos, videos and posts in future marketing materials.
