Former Tourism Communications Leader Joining ke comms

TULSA, Oklahoma – The former Director of Communications for Tulsa Regional Tourism is joining ke comms as a consulting partner.

Lauren Rogers is joining ke comms, a mission-driven public relations and writing agency, after stints at Tulsa Regional Tourism, a division of the Tulsa Regional Chamber, and Gilcrease Museum.

"After collaborating with Kristi on the article she wrote for Conde Nast Traveler about Tulsa in 2022, I knew I wanted to continue uplifting local stories with her in some capacity," said Rogers. "Just over two years later, I am thrilled to join her mission-driven agency representing organizations doing powerful work in Oklahoma and around the world."

Rogers started at Tulsa Regional Tourism, the region's accredited destination marketing organization, in 2021. Tulsa Regional Tourism encompasses Visit Tulsa, The Tulsa Convention & Visitors Bureau, Tulsa Sports Commission and Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture.

During her tenure, Tulsa hosted events including the 2022 PGA Championship and the 2023 NCAA DI Wrestling Championship. Additionally, the region earned accolades including CNN’s “Where to Travel in 2022” and Sports ETA's 2023 "Sports Commission of the Year.”

Before that, Rogers was the Communications Manager for Gilcrease Museum, where she began after graduating from The University of Tulsa in 2018. Rogers was also a marketing assistant at Tulsa Area United Way, where she helped with the 2017 and 2018 campaigns.

Rogers serves on the boards for the Tulsa chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, the United Nations Association of Eastern Oklahoma, and is a founding member of the Creek Council Oak Tree Foundation. She is also a member of the Tulsa Press Club, TYPROS, and Tulsa Area United Way NextGen United.

“Lauren’s background and love of Tulsa fit in perfectly with ke comms’ mission-driven work,” said Kristi Eaton, founder and CEO of the public relations firm. “With a mix of tourism and nonprofit public relations experience, Lauren offers a Gen Z perspective which makes her a great asset to ke comms as we aim to provide more robust social media services for clients. I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Rogers joins Jessica Jackson Seay – the former executive director of Tulsa’s Kendall Whittier Main Street – as a consulting partner for ke comms, which started in 2023. The firm’s client list includes The Hunger Project, a global nonprofit organization that aims to create a world without hunger; the Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum in Sapulpa; and Land Rights Defenders, an international nonprofit organization providing resources to Indigenous communities about land rights.
