August 2025 was another busy and exciting month for ke comms.
One thing ke comms does well is partner with other PR agencies to help support them in ideation and pitching, both for local and national outreach. With Tulsa-based Resolute PR, I helped place this story - months in the making - featuring Tulsa Innovation Labs.
For WINS Media, where I act as a publicist, I supported the placement of a feature on Raven Jemison, who has a fascinating story about her trajectory in sports. I definitely suggest giving it a read.
The other PR agency I partner with is Human Impact Solutions, where I support a variety of clients. For author Michaela Leslie-Rule, I was able to get a book excerpt placement and author webinar at Next City; a Black Alder report on journalists received coverage in the Black Wall Street Times and Ms. Magazine; and Black Liberation-Indigenous Sovereignty (BLIS Collective) got a placement in HuffPost.
I also wrote a story for Workspan Daily about the importance of paid care leave.
Outside of work, I spent five days in the Dominican Republic for my 40th birthday with good friends. It was a relaxing trip abroad and so much fun!

Finally, I have great news surrounding new engagements and recurring engagements. ke comms is once again working with Jack’s Generosity, an Oklahoma nonprofit organization that provides comfort boxes to families in the NICU/PICU. Also, ke comms has partnered with Human Impact Solutions to work with a new client called Partnership on AI.
Great things are happening at ke comms, and if you’d like to learn more or learn about partnership opportunities, reach out at kristi@kecomms.com.
