July was full of celebrations, fun experiences and wins.
In terms of placements wins, ke comms worked with Human Impact Solutions to pitch the client Black Liberation-Indigenous Sovereignty (BLIS Collective) around Trump’s new mandate to return to racist mascot names. With a quick turnaround on a statement prepared, I was able to pitch top-tier outlets around the statement. Both The Associated Press and USA Today picked up the statement for their national stories. Very exciting!
I also took part in a documentary-style interview for an upcoming true crime series. It covered a case I wrote about while at The AP over a decade ago. More details to come soon!

Outside of work, I celebrated turning 40 with good friends. It was a great birthday month, and the celebrations continue into August with an upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic.
