October was full of fun, engaging events and ke comms continued to earn placements for clients.
First, ke comms won two awards at the PRSA Tulsa Silver Link Awards, earning the title of “award-winning agency.” Read about the awards and the night here.
Following the awards, ke comms re-upped with Land Rights Defenders Inc., which had been a past client and was one of the clients that helped secure the PRSA Tulsa Silver Link Awards. I am honored and excited to work again with the global Indigenous-led nonprofit. Read the first op-ed from founder Nana Kwesi Osei Bonsu ahead of COP30 that ke comms helped place.
At the beginning of the month, Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization, released the press release I worked on about what to see, where to stay and what to eat along Route 66. The historic highway turns 100 next year, and it’s quite exciting being able to take part in any bit of PR or writing around it.
ke comms was brought on to support public relations/media relations for a local Tulsa-based organization called Forum for Real Economic Emancipation. I was able to secure a preview story as well as a story covering the event. Read and watch them here and here. The grassroots group has another event in December on the topic of food insecurity.

In other work, a Q&A for an author that I’ve worked with through my partnership with the agency Human Impact Solutions came out. Read it on Youth Today here.
I also worked with U.S. War Dogs, a veteran-run nonprofit organization that works to support military working dogs. They held an event in San Antonio in October to celebrate their 25th year in service, and I was able to earn placements on a local morning show and a nonprofit digital news outlet. More is in the works, so stay tuned!
ke comms is looking forward to 2026 and would love to sign on one to two more retainer-based clients. If you or someone you know is looking for public relations support, please get in touch by emailing me at kristi@kecomms.com.
Until next time.
