September 2026 Wins for ke comms & Our Clients
By Kristi Eaton
September was a month of growth, renewal and reminders to slow down at times and remember why I became an entrepreneur. It was a much-needed reminder.
‘The Hardest But Best Thing I’ve Ever Done’
That’s how I describe my new normal - waking up before the sunrise to walk on the treadmill and start my work day, the pitching myself to new clients, the networking events when my inner battery is exhausted, all the while maintaining a steady stream of coverage for clients. I love it and, at the same time, it can weigh heavy on me as I do it myself while leaning on support networks.
That’s why it was nice to travel to London for a few days in September and remember that as my own boss and a remote worker, I can do such adventures. There will be more adventures in the near future -- I plan on it!

Working Across Time Zones
I kept working while in London and it wasn't the only time I worked across large time zone gaps. I have been acting as the U.S. Media Lead for an educational foundation whose main firm is in Scotland, so lots of early morning emails and contacts. Luckily, I’m an early riser naturally.
We are in the midst of that campaign launch, and I hope to be able to share more soon about the coverage secured.
New Growth for Women Communicators
The month started with a very successful Open House for the Association for Women in Communications Tulsa, where I am Communications Chair and President-Elect. More than 50 people turned out for the event, and we had many sign up to become members. It was a super fun evening.

When You Become Part of the News Cycle
Going back to my workdays, working for myself means I can set my day up how I like it, with a few caveats, including meetings and other events. That means I also dictate when, how and what I eat, which means snacking for me. In this Newsweek article (behind a paywall), I was interviewed about my weekday eating habits. Check out the story here.
New Clients + Offerings
Two new clients started with ke comms in September. A local lawyer who has written a gripping memoir of her kidnapping and sexual assault and path to forgiveness is set to release the book, and I am handling the local publicity for it.
Additionally, I have signed on a media personality who is seeking connections in Tulsa and the U.S. and I am working with him to secure hosting gigs, influencer partnerships and other collaborations.
Rafael appeared at Festival Americas in Tulsa, where he wowed the audience and made fruitful connections. We are excited to see what other opportunities come forth.
